Domestic Torlon injection ball !
Torlon® PAI (polyamide-imide) combines the special properties of thermosetting polyimide with the advantages of thermoplastic melt processing. Wear-resistant grades have unmatched performance in both dry and lubricated environments. High-strength grades can maintain their toughness, high strength and high rigidity at temperatures up to 275°C (525°F), making PAI a thermoplastic with high performance in the industry. It also has extensive chemical resistance, including strong acids and organic matter.
PAI exhibits higher compressive strength and impact resistance than most advanced engineering plastics. High creep resistance and very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CLTE) bring excellent dimensional stability.
Torlon balls are widely used in automatic gearboxes and sailing cable skating because of their excellent resistance to high pressure, salt spray resistance, oil resistance, wear resistance, and low density.
