The choice of materials for stamping and drawing abrasives can be considered separately according to different situations. The stamping and drawing abrasive can be selected according to the properties of the mold material. If the compressive strength and wear resistance of the material increase, the toughness decreases. Conversely, to increase the toughness of the material, the compressive strength and wear resistance must be reduced. Considering the life of the mold, the direction of material selection should be to improve its compressive strength and wear resistance, and try to make full use of the material's maximum toughness. Pressing and drawing abrasives can be selected according to the type of die. Generally speaking, the order of the comprehensive stress in the pressing process is: bending → forming → deep drawing → punching → cold extrusion → cold heading. In other words, the material of the bending die for the stamping and drawing abrasive tool can be slightly worse, and the material of the cold extrusion die and the cold heading die should be the best. The material of the stamping and drawing abrasive can be selected according to the output of the punching piece. If the output of the punching piece is large, the material of the stamping and drawing die needs to select a mold material with good wear resistance. Therefore, there is a certain relationship between the output of the punch and the abrasion resistance of the stamping and drawing die material.
